  • Reginald Bigelow was the grandson of John Bigelow, a prominent Auckland shipbuilder in the mid 1860's to late 1880's.

    Son of Mary Ann and John Smith Bigelow

    Attested 21 May 1916 in Trentham.

    He married Mary Olive nee Stewart in the Holy Trinity Church, Pakaraka, Bay of Islands in April 1919. They lived in 14 London Street, Ponsonby (later numbered 28) and had two daughters.

    After the war worked as a joiner for G.H. Frankham Ltd in Newmarket.

    Two brothers, Frederick Edward Bigelow (62238) and Reginald Rockwell Bigelow (26775), served in WW1. AWMM
