    Appointed Lance Corporal, 30 August 1917.
    Admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, 28 September 1917 (injured alveolar), and transferred to Canadian Casualty Clearing Station; rejoined Bn, in the field, 16 November 1917.
    Detached to No 1 Australian Tunnelling Company, 3 January 1918; rejoined Bn from detachment, 17 January 1918.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 17 January 1918; rejoined Bn from leave, 31 January 1918.
    Detached to 2nd Army Central School of Instruction, 16 February 1918; rejoined rejoined Bn from detachment, 29 June 1918.
    Admitted to No 2 NZ Field Ambulance, 12 September 1918; rejoined Bn, 25 September 1918 (no further details recorded).
