  • Ernest Parker was married to my great aunt Florence Muriel Southon
They had two children Richard and Reginald.
In 1929 while driving with both children and Muriels mother Louisa Southon in the Buller Gorge, a slip came down and a tree landed on the cab of the truck killing Muriel, Louisa and Reginald.
From my information I have found, Ernest and Richard moved to Christchurch and lived with his sister Mrs D’arcy. Ernest then must have gone back to the West Coast for work. He died in 1934 of Cancer in Reefton. Is buried in Inangahua Cemetery.
Richard was raised by his Aunt and on his gravestone is the name D’arcy not Parker.
