  • Frank Johnson was the son of Ingrid Johnson, of Carterton, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 14 July 1917; disembarked Plymouth, England, 24 September 1917, and marched in to Sling Camp, and posted to Wellington Infantry Regiment.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 11 January 1918; joined 2nd Bn, Wellington Infantry Regiment, in the field, 22 February 1918.
    Detached to 3rd Field Company, NZ Engineers, 26 February 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 10 March 1918.
    Wounded in action, 14 September 1918, and admitted to No 1 NZ Field Ambulance, and transferred same day to 56th Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train, 15 September 1918, and admitted to No 3 General Hospital, Le Treport, 16 September 1918.
    Died of wounds, 17 September 1918.
