    Embarked Wellington, 23 September 1916; disembarked Devonport, England, 18 November 1916, and marched in to Sling Camp.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 7 January 1917.
    Attached to NZ Tunnelling Company, 24 February 1917.
    Joined 4th Bn, NZ Rifle Brigade, in the field, 26 June 1917, and posted to C Company.
    Appointed Company Cook, 22 September 1917.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 18 January 1918; rejoined unit from leave, 4 February 1918.
    Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 27 March 1918 (pyrexia, unknown origin), and transferred same day to No 3 Canadian Stationary Hospital; to No 20 General Hospital, 29 March 1918; to Convalescent Depot, 30 March 1918; to No 11 Convalescent Depot, Buchy, 2 April 1918; to Base Depot, Etaples, 6 June 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 27 September 1918.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Tilbury on board HMNZT 'Pakeha', 12 April 1919; disembarked Wellington, 30 May 1919; discharged, 27 June 1919.
