    • Lawrence was the son of George Thomas & Fanny Ellen MILLS (nee Pearce). They had six children - Ellen Georgina (b1891), Edgar George (b1893), Lawrence Frederick (b1896), Albert James (b1897), Stanley Victor (b1899) and Frances Elizabeth (b1901).

      Three brothers enlisted and served during WW1 - Edgar George (13/2855), Lawrence Frederick (26647) and Albert James (74022).

    Mills, Lawrence Frederick (Regtl no. 26647, Rifleman, 1st NZEF). On December 24, 1972, at his home, loved husband of Doris Mills, of Mangawhai Rd, Kaiwaka, and loved father of Ian & Dan (Kaiwaka), loved father-in-law of Jewell and loved grandfather of Paul and Keith; aged 77 years. Loved by all. A service will be held in St Michael’s Anglican Church, Hakaru, tomorrow (Wednesday), at 1.30pm., thereafter interment in the Hakaru Cemetery. Cut flowers only, please.
