  • Mr Runciman was a neighbor of ours in St Helier's while I was a small boy. I remember him with fondness as a man who always had time for me, was happy to share a story and an all round good guy, bit like a Granddad that I never had. The war stories he told me were always the sanitized version, more for a little boys ears than the gruesome reality. I appreciate and respect the sacrifice that and his generation made for all of us.
