  • A prayer for a grand father I have a fleeting memory of him handing me a lolly as a child. He would have been delivering a new car to Auckland. Would like to know his full WW1 history I know he was gassed in France and his death in the 1960's was recorded as a result of his war wound. History showed he was a generous man delivering food he had paid for to the Maori on the East Coast when he had barely enough for his own family.

  • Bless you Pop for your efforts in keeping your family safe by going to WW1. I miss you and often remember the wonderful childhood I had living with you and Nana in Opotiki
