      Served France & Belgium (1917).
      Returned to New Zealand 10 January 1918.
      Discharged from NZEF 15 May 1918.

      Brother of Rifleman Tannant Arthur Herrick : NZEF # 26102. Served France & Belgium (1917-1918).

      The brothers were born at Lower Moutere, Nelson District. They were the grandsons of William John Herrick & Julia (nee Wratt). Their grand-father John emigrated to Nelson in 1842 and lived at Spring Grove, Nelson District.
      The brothers parents - William Ashton Herrick and Sara (nee Tannant) were married 1871 and lived in the Lower Moutere, Nelson District until about 1896 when they moved North to the Wairarapa District. Public - Jenifer - Researcher - 20 November 2018 - Military File and Research.
    • Remembered - with his brother Tannant - at his birth place of Nelson - on the World War 1 'Wall of Remembrance' at Founders Park, Nelson City - which commemorates the 3600+ Nelson & Districts born service men and women who served in World War 1.
