    • Albert Jolley was the son of E. and T. Jolley, of Thorpe St., Port Cygnet, Tasmania, Australia.

    • Alfred Albert Jolley (Kregor)
      Born 18 Oct 1893 in Glaziers Bay, Cygnet, Tasmania, Australia
      Son of Friedrich W Kregor and Ellen Singline of Cygnet Tasmania. Took the surname of his mother's 2nd husband ( Edward Jolley) and used his middle name as he was the son of German emmigrants wanting to fight against his parents home country. He went to far as to travel to his sister ,Elsie Robertson (nee Kregor) in Invercargill, NZ, and enlisted in the Auckland Infantry Battalion at Paeroa in Aug 1914, age 20. Embarked from Auckland 16 October 1914 for the Suez, arrived on 4 Dec. After training in Egypt, he reached Lemnos 15 Apr. The Lutzov took him to Gallipoli on 24th Apr 1915, where he served and survived. Public - Glen - 3 May 2015 - Birth records from Tasmanian State records.
