    His wife was a twin the sister of Launcelot Crawford (Jack) Hanna, they were nicknamed Jack and Jill and sister to Norman Hugh Hanna (800548) and Philip Roderick McRae Hanna (4/509)

    Returned to New Zealand on the Rimutaka 5 April 1919

    He served in WW2 with the Home Guard as a Lieutenant from 1 August 1941 Fordell Battalion and was promoted to Captain 25 May 1943 AWMM
