  • It is unknown whether George William Keane left on the "Pakeha" or "Devon". If he embarked on "Pakeha" he would have left NZ on 23 September 1916. If he embarked on "Devon" he would have left on 25 September 1916.

    A framed commemoration with 13 photographs of former students who fought in World War 1 is displayed in the Pukekohe East Primary School Hall and a copy is the Playcentre , the building was formerly old school. March 1918, Grevillers was lost to the German during their great advance. Some H Company sailed on the Devon
