Transferred to No 2 NZ General Hospital, Walton-on-Thames, 14 December 1917.
Classified unfit by Medical Board, 18 January 1918, and placed on NZ Roll.
Commenced return to New Zealand from Liverpool on board 'Maunganui', 2 February 1918; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of illness contracted on Active Service), 11 June 1918.
