    Taken on strength, 3rd Bn, and posted to No 3 Company, Codford, 15 April 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 28 May 1917.
    Admitted to 4th NZ Field Ambulance, 14 August 1917 (myalgia); transferred to 1st NZ Field Ambulance, 16 August 1918; to No 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 22 August 1917; to No 6 General Hospital, Rouen, 24 August 1917; to England, 30 August 1917, and admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 31 August 1917.
    Transferred to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 23 October 1917.
    Attached to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 8 December 1917.
    Classified unfit by Medical Board, 25 May 1918, and placed on NZ Roll.
    Commenced return to Australia from Plymouth on board HMNZT 'Mokoia', 30 May 1918; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service), 24 September 1918.
