  • Reading transcripts from my grandfathers war diaries. He mentions taking the military funeral of Charles Kerse at Couin. My grandfather was Rev D.C.Herron NZ Army Chaplain. I didnot know my grandfather but i have heard many stories about him . I know he was a wonderful man and can be assured he would have taken a special service for Charles Kerse, being a brave soldier who died for his country.
