    Admitted to Military Hospital, Tidworth, 3 May 1917 (pneumonia); transferred to No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 2 June 1917; to NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 5 June 1917. Discharged on leave, 24 August 1917, to report to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 4 September 1917.
    Classified 'unfit for further service', and placed on NZ Roll, 25 September 1917.
    Marched out to NZ Discharge Depot, Torquay, 7 November 1917.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Liverpool on board 'Ruahine', 16 November 1917; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of illness contracted on Active Service), 3 February 1918.
