    Taken on strength, 3rd Bn, Otago Infantry Regiment, Codford, and posted to 14th Company, 3 April 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 28 May 1917.
    Appointed Farrier, 4 May 1918.
    On leave to Paris, 11 September 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, from leave, 23 September 1918.

    Commenced return to New Zealand from Tilbury on board HT 'Arawa', 1 April 1919; discharged, 12 June 1919.
