      His brother, 4/84 Sapper Frank Harold Bateman, also served in World War 1 AWMM
    • Another brother was in Sydney in August 1914. Charles Edwin George Bateman, Private 261 C Coy 2 Bn AIF. Served Gallipoli, Belgium, France. Discharged 1918. Public - Matthew - Other relative - 22 April 2018 - Australian records, Canberra.
