  • Law arrived in France at the end of May. On 1 July he was promoted to Lance Corporal. On 5 October he was appointed Temporary Corporal, followed by Temporary Sergeant on 25 October. (Church, p.164)

    On 20 December 1917 Law was wounded in action, near Ypres, with gunshot wounds to his chest and shoulder. He arrived at No.1 NZGH, Brockenhurst on 3 January 1918 (Church, p.165) AWMM
