  • Francis Lawrie was my maternal Grandmother's brother. He was a very good artist, and I have an oil painting titled Mt. Wick painted by him and passed to me from my Grandmother. I also have his portrait on the wall in his army uniform, and also one of his parents.I treasure both of these, and often think of the utter waste of his life and talents at such a young age.
