  • Jeremiah Coughlan, I was only 1 when he died; he was my fathers uncle. I was told by my mother of how he was such a lovely gentleman. He was married to Mitt (real name Annie). Jerry and Mitt had no children of their own, so I guess my father and his sister, Helen, were like theirs...my Nana had to share her children. When I turned one, Jerry had been down to see me and later phoned my mother to tell her to check on the baby, there I was asleep with a $20 pound note on my forehead, apparently and old irish tradition for luck and prosperity.
