  • He married Elsie Freny - who died 5th December 1979 - Willaim died the 2nd october 1979 - the children where - Brian, Jack, Owen, Peter, Joan and Allan - William and Elsie are buried in the Aramoho cemetrary Wanganui

  • William McGuinness was my granfather - he lived his final years in Whanganui and ended up loosing both his legs to gangrene many years after the war - 1960's - he smoked cigars and had 6 children. he was a coal miner but due to injuires in the war he couldnt work in the mines so became a tailor.
