  • Prince is my grandfather. I am born to his youngest son.
Stories of Prince from his sister Kino, my dads aunt (deceased) were that he was a fine looking man.
He rode a white stallion back home on the coast. It carried him though the mountains on the farms and across the beaches in the bay. Dad said he died as a result of dust on his lungs from the war. I understand now that many of the returned soldiers from WW1 died from mustard spray residue on the lungs. Prince is buried at Tokomaru Bay behind the chapel with many of his friends and family.
