    MR. H. J. COPPIN Mr. Herbert James Coppin, who died at Cook Hospital on Saturday, was aged 61 years and was born at Matawhero. He was educated at the Makaraka and Matawhero schools and was the youngest son of the late Mr. George and Mrs. Charlotte Coppin, Matawhero. His occupation in life was farming. He served during the First World War. He was a very early member of the Manchester Unity Lodge. Mr. Coppin was well-liked in the community and had been ailing for the last six years. He is survived by one brother, Mr. W. Coppin, Manutuke, and a sister, Mrs. G. Richardson, Papakura, Auckland A service was held at Cochrane’s Chapel, William street, to-day at 11 a.m. and the funeral later left for the Taruheru cemetery Public - Lorraine Mona - Researcher - 20 January 2024 - OBITUARY - GISBORNE HERALD, VOLUME LXXIV, ISSUE 22304, 14 APRIL 1947, PAGE 4
