    • Son of Mr John T. Levett of 2 Spencer Road, Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand. AWMM
    • John was one of three brothers to serve in the First World War. Augustine Levett (1891-1963) served over four years and Thomas Joseph Levett (1893-1957) over two years before receiving a head wound and subsequently being invalided to New Zealand.
