  • This was my Grandfather & my Mother used to speak about him all then time - he passed away when she was 10 , because of the times, she was to young to see him, she used to go down to the Home in Dunedin and watch him , hoping to see her Dad to just get an acknowledgment- we checked his death records and he died on the 31st December and buried the next day - she pined for him her entire life :-(. According to her he was "gassed" in the First World War, but we do not know this for sure- but the one sure thing is- his daughters really felt the loss of their Dad.
