  • Dad, the wee snippets of information you shared are all coming into place as New Zealand gears up to commemorate the 100 year anniversary. I realise how hard it must have been for you and your fellow soldiers, the brutality of the experience and harshness of the environment....you were brave and I know that now. I will walk with pride on the memorial day at our service in Pahiatua. Love you, Mem

  • Bless you Grandarthur for a time spent in service - quietly served and quietly held in your memories. I wish we had more time to talk in length about what you had experienced...our talks over the kitchen table were enlightening...if in the very least to unload your incredible load. Love to you, Lillianne
