    • Sidney Lord was the son of Samuel Joseph and Elizabeth Lord, of Howick, Auckland.

      He was grandson of the Fencible family of Michael Lord from Howick.

      Two sons, brothers Edmund John Lord (13/827) and Sidney Lord (33564) died service in WW1.

      Listed as Sydney on the Howick & Pakuranga War Memorial. AWMM
    • Sidney Lord was the son of Samuel Joseph and Elizabeth Lord, of Howick, Auckland.
      His birth record has him as Walter Sydney Lord, born 8 February 1892.

      He was grandson of the Fencible family of Michael Lord from Howick.

      Two sons, brothers Edmund John Lord (13/827) and Sidney Lord (33564) died service in WW1.

      Listed as Sydney on the Howick & Pakuranga War Memorial.

      Also a memorial in the cemetery of the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Howick. "Sacred to the memory of our soldier boys, JACK LORD, died on active service in France 11th Feb. 1917, aged 21. SYD LORD, killed in action in France (sic) 17th Oct. 1917. Aged 24."
