  • Thomas Lovatt was the son of John Thomas Strange Lovatt and Margaret Jane Lovatt.

    He volunteered for service and requested a posting to Army Service Corps which was declined because of need in Infantry. Attested 16 October 1917, brother's address as next of kin, 24 Hataitai Rd Wellington

    Marched into Trentham camp on 14 November 1917.

    Killed by machine gun fire
