    • Geoffrey Beale was the son of Ernest C. and Margaret E. H. Beale, of Auckland, New Zealand, and England.

      Attended Auckland Grammar School.

    • Geoffrey’s father Ernest Clifton Beale was born at Grafton Rd, Auckland. Occupation: executor of will of Alexander Beale of Reading. Ernest was the 9th of 10 children of John Henry Beale (born 7 May 1817, died 19 Sep 1882) and Mary Eleanor Butler (1821-21 Feb 1899). Ernest married Margaret (May) Syme of Melbourne and they had three children: Geoffrey (Geoff), Gwen (married Mr Woods, a solicitor of Napier) and Margery (married Jim Williamson, who died in 1931).
