    Taken on strength, NZ Command Depot, Codford, 1 August 1917; struck off strength Command Depot to No 3 NZ General Hospital, Codford, 17 August 1917 (hernial protusion).
    Taken on strength of NZ Command Depot, 12 September 1917.
    Marched out to New Zealand Discharge Depot, Torquay, 20 November 1917. Medical Board, 6 December 1917, noted soldier's refusal to undergo operation; recommended his return to New Zealand for discharge.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Plymouth on board 'Arawa', 6 March 1918; Medical Board, 19 March 1918, noted soldier refused operation); discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of illness contracted on Active Service), 21 March 1918.
