  • Our grandfather, Tom McClintock, was Alex's brother. I was born in Dunedin in 1948 and I never knew Alex. I would like to visit his grave in France. We have a son living in Switzerland so the opportunity may arise. These young men headed off to defend Britain and too many of them sacrificed their lives. I was in Middlemarch September 2016. My father and Tom (my grandfather) are buried there. I wonder what Alex would have got up to had he returned? Tom also went to WW1 and our Dad went to WW2. Thinking of you Alex.
