  • Son of Henry and Elizabeth Emma Batty (nee Walker). Married Vera Gwendoline Oxenham in 1919 in Greymouth, New Zealand.

    Gordon was badly wounded above his left eye and was transferred to No.2 New Zealand General Hospital Walton on Thames Hospital. He served as president of the RSA in Greymouth and was awarded the Gold Star for his service to the RSA. AWMM
