  • Granddad - you said very little about you war experiences according to my father. We know some details but much has been added by the researchers and historians. We understand a little more now about your experiences by reading these accounts and understand so much more about what you faced. Your grandchildren and great-grand children acknowledge the contribution you and your comrades made.

  • To Great Grandad Eddie, I have never met you or talked to you, but I am very proud that you as my great Granddad fought in the war for New Zealand and I am very proud to be a Taylor. I have written a report for school on you and am very proud to let me fellow students know all about you and your legacy. Thank you for fighting in the war for us and I am very proud to be your great grand daughter. -Maxine
