      London Gazette 8 March 1919, p3253 Citation, London Gazette 4 October 1919, p12379 For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the operations on 4th November, 1918, north of Le Quesnoy, he was acting as adjutant. Prior to the attack he made a thorough reconnaissance of the position and supplied information which was of great importance to the battalion. After our troops had reached the Blue line he reconnoitred the disposition of the battalion under shell fire, and rendered a complete and accurate report on the situation. AWMM
