  • Son of Thomas and Jane Broome.

    Husband of Lily Georgina Broome (neeTee), two sons and two daughters.

    He attested that he had been living in New Zealand for 3 years before enlistment, and named an uncle also living in Tongio, Hawkes Bay.

    After the war he lived with his family lived at Arohena, New Zealand and later on Golf Road, Epsom, Auckland

    On the 19 October 1942 Thomas Broome joined the Royal New Zealand Airforce as a fitter's labourer and was discharged after 2 years and 343 days on medical grounds 27 September 1945. He was then directed by the District Manpower Officer to Seabrook Fowlds Ltd., Motor Assembly Park at Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland. AWMM
