  • Mr. A. Marshall j (Rifleman, 51176) is staying in England with a sister, and he has not yet decided when he will go back to New Zealand. He was with the 3rd Battalion, N.Z.R.B., 15th Platoon, D Company, and he says he often wonders how "the boys" are getting on. He adds: "I have no doubt they will remember old Archie, and how I used to fall into the shell-holes when carrying the rations at night. It was a rough ordeal, and many a good lad sleeps a long way from home. Let us hope their great sacrifice has not been in vain." Public - Lorraine M - Researcher - 1 December 2016 - EX-N.Z.E.F.
