  • He was killed at "Daisy Patch", Helles on the Gallipoli Peninsular

    The memorial plaque was issued to all service people who had died during the war and was sent out to the next of kin .The plaque is made of bronze and is 120mm in diameter. The inscription on the plaque has the following "He (or she) died for freedom and honour". In the near centre of the plaque is the name of the serviceperson.A memorial scoll wassent in conjunction with it which had the details of the serviceperson on it. http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/Gallery/Anzac/galli-poli/anzac-may.htm (From the website of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage, Wellington, New Zealand)
