    Proceeded overseas to France, 17 October 1917; attached to Base Depot, Etaples, 1 February 1918; marched out to Division, 7 April 1918, and posted to 1st Battery, 11 April 1918.
    Admitted to 1/2 East Lancashire field Ambulance, 4 July 1918 (influenza), and transferred same day to 29th Casualty Clearing Station; rejoined unit, in the field, 11 July 1918.
    On leave to United Kingdom, 19 October 1918.
    Appointed Cook, 18 February 1919; relinquished appointment as Cook, 26 February 1919.
    Commenced return to New Zealand from Tilbury on board HMNZT 'Pakeha', 12 April 1919; disembarked Wellington, 30 May 1919; discharged, 27 June 1919.
    Total war service: 2 years 114 days (of which 1 year 353 days was abroad)
