  • For twenty years I have been renovating, off and on, an old villa in Hamilton, New Zealand.
    The house was relocated from Mt Eden, Auckland in 1999.
    In March 2020, I came across an inscription pencilled into the back of an old architrave from the villa. The inscription read as follows;

    'The man who built it'
    54820 Reg No
    CC Brady
    1st NZEF

    I find it rather special to at least know the name of the original builder.

    I would be curious to know who CC Brady was.
