  • Today ( April 25) I am remembering the contribution my grandfather's brother made in ww1 and the sacrifice he made. According to my late father, when he returned from the trenches of WW1 he never recovered from the experiences of the trenches and mustard gas. He didn't marry or have children as far as I know. I think he has been forgotten by other members of my extended family-indeed I don't know if they are even aware of him. I have his certificate of services and have been looking at it and thinking of him this week.
