  • Albert James Begbie was known as 'Jim' to his family. He was an elder brother of my grandfather, Ernest Philip Begbie. My grandfather was the youngest of John and Jane Begbie's nine children. I recall a story told to me by grandfather, saying that before Jim went to the war, he gave his treasured dog to him, for safekeeping.
