    He had typhoid as a child.

    An accountant with C/o Mackerras & Hazlett Ltd., Dunedin before enlistment.

    Attested in January 1917, duty commenced 12 April 1917.

    Arrived with the 28th Reinforcements, then Classed B3 and transferred to auditors office in NOvember 1917.

    September 1917 forfeited pay for refusing to obey an order.

    November 1917 detailed to Headquarters, Pay Department, London

    Appointed Acting (temporary) Sergeant whilst with Auditors, Headquarters, London.

    Recommended for discharge as permanently unfit for Active Service.

    He did not perform any military duties during the War.
