  • George Frederick Cogdale was my grandfather. His wife was Gladys Victoria Anne Cogdale and he had children George Phillip Norman Cogdale, Lynann Frances Burton (Canada) He survived WW1 after serving in the trenches in Flanders but contracted Rheumatic Fever after 9 months. He was invalided home and never fully recovered, dying in 1964 from related complications. His daughter Lynann Burton had a son Robert Burton and both are in Vancouver, BC, Canada. His other grandchildren are Christopher Phillip Cogdale ( Masterton), Norman George Cogdale (Paraparaumu) , Anthony Francis Cogdale (Huntly) and Sharon Anne Jamieson nee Cogdale (Levin) Great Grandchildren are Ashton Phillip Cogdale, Rhiannon Cogdale, Joshua Cogdale, Georgia Cogdale, Daniel Cogdale, Troian Grant, Kiernan Grant, and Breyton Grant
