The funeral of the late Private Henry Gill McKenzie, of the 4th Reinforcements, who died in the Christchurch Hospital, took place on Saturday afternoon. The deceased soldier had suffered a long illness, following upon wounds received in France. The coffin was conveyed to the Linwood Cemetery on a gun carriage. The firing party was supplied by members of the Garrison Artillery, Lyttelton, and a party of returned soldiers acted as pall-bearers. The burial service was conducted by Canon W.S.
