    Wounded in action (gas shell); admitted to Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 17 March 1918; transferred to 64th Casualty Clearing Station; to 30th General Hospital, Calais, 30 March 1918; to No 7 Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 3 April 1918; to NZ General Base Depot, Etaples, 10 April 1918; rejoined Bn and posted to A Company, in the field, 13 May 1918.
    Admitted to 3rd NZ Field Ambulance, 15 May 1918 (bronchitis); rejoined Bn, 21 May 1918.
    Admitted to 2nd NZ Field Ambulance, 24 August 1918 (debility); transferred to 56th Casualty Clearing Station, 24 August 1918 (contusion, shell); transferred same day to Ambulance Train No 2, and admitted to No 11 Stationary Hospital, 25 August 1918. Transferred to England, 28 August 1918, and admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 29 August 1918; attached to strength of NZ Convalescent Hospital, Hornchurch, 15 October 1918.
