  • Sydney Struthers was the son of Mrs. L. Struthers, of Queen St., Westport, New Zealand.

    Embarked Wellington, 26 July 1917; disembarked Plymouth, England, 24 September 1917; marched in to NZ Reserve Bn, Brocton, 27 September 1917.
    Proceeded overseas to France, 23 October 1917; joined 2nd Bn, NZ Rifle Brigade, in the field, 10 November 1917, and posted to B Company.
    Detached to Divisional Baths, 16 December 1917; rejoined Bn from detachment, 29 December 1917.
    Killed in action, 9 September 1918.
