  • Seaforth was a flying enthusiast and early New Zealand aviator. He flew his brother, Hector's, Hamilton biplane at Marton in 1913. He joined the Royal Flying Corps in England and was in an aircraft flying at night over German lines when a sudden fog caused the plane to crash, killing him.
