    Marched out from Sling Camp and proceeded overseas to France, 11 November 1917; marched in to NZ Base Depot, Etaples, 13 November 1917.
    Admitted to No 24 General Hospital, Etaples, 13 November 1917; embarked for England, 20 December 1917; admitted to No 1 NZ General Hospital, Brockenhurst, 22 December 1917 (pyelitis, severe); 'Improving', 24 January 1918; transferred to NZ Convalescent Home, Hornchurch, 18 February 1918; discharged to NZ Command Depot, Codford, 21 March 1918.
    On leave, 21 March 1918; marched in to NZ Command Depot Codford, 29 March 1918.

    Commenced return to New Zealand from Liverpool on board HT 'Ajana', 7 February 1919; disembarked New Zealand, 29 March 1919; placed on sick-leave from 29 March 1919, until 7 April 1919; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of wounds received in action), 13 May 1919.
    Total war service: 1 year 323 days (of which 1 year 226 days was abroad)
