  • He was the son of Josiah & Martha Annie WARD (nee Dean). His father was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand. His mother was born in Kent, England.

    On the 23rd December 1912, he married Margaret HARRINGTON at Durham, England. They lived in Whangarei and had two children before Dr. Ward enlisted - Zoe (b1916) and Derek Harland (b1917). They later had a third child that they named Margaret.

A service will be held in the Methodist Church, Bank St., Whangarei, at 11.30 am. Monday, October 26, funeral leaving afterwards for Maunu Soldiers Lawn Cemetery.
